i haven't abandoned this journal i swear. i'm just still learning how to use this thing.

i'm stuck between feeling like i should write something kinda long here and just wanting to post willy-nilly like it's a twitter feed.

Maybe both is good? Like, post whatever you like because it's your blog, and that can be a lot of short things with something longer as the mood takes you?

Both approaches are valid! I've known people who always wrote long detailed things and people who would make a one-line post to say they'd lost their hairbrush (and another when they found it) on LJ-clones in the past. It's a much less... performative? style of platform than most social media, I think.

Totally relate to this! It's so hard to get into the Rhythm of having a journal, especially as opposed to the other forms of social media I've gotten used to. But I definitely concur: Follow Your Heart TM.
