May. 12th, 2019 04:55 pmvolunteered at a small museum today - it's owned by a private university in the area. so i didn't find it strange that some people asked me if i went to school there. but what continues to baffle me is how many folks ask if i'm in high school, which happened today with the volunteer coordinator. i suppose it makes sense in a volunteer setting since younger folk are more likely to sign up for experience. but i've been asked if i was a teenager in many other settings and i'm always confused.
when i was in high school, people would ask me if i was in college. now that im out of college and working full time, everyone thinks im in high school lmao. makes no sense considering how tall i am - that's what made people think i was older as a child. but here i am, about to be 27 standing at ~6'0" and people are like "this is a baby".
