got the rest of my tax refund this morning and wow i really will have my whole credit card paid off next month - will just need to pay the remaining ~$200. i’ve been trying - and failing - to pay off this card for nearly 1-2 years because my dumb, bipolar ass loved to just throw money away under the guise of “retail therapy”. i’ve already moved all my bills onto the card so i can still ‘use it’ for credit score purposes and i’ve also been leaving it at home so i dont go strolling into a store thinking i got money to spend.
(and also not letting myself buy brand new hardcover books from the bookstore helps a lot. like a lot a lot. spent ~$450 on books last year, ~$1300 the year before lmao. but to be fair to myself, that’s when i got a “real” job so i was trigger happy with my money.)
and once this is all paid off, i can begin to save up for grad school coming this fall. and i still need to work on the 2 scholarships before the May deadline.
