let the migration continue...
Dec. 13th, 2018 10:56 pmWell, this is new.
As many people know, tumblr has shot itself in the foot with its new guidelines regarding adult content and its new algorithm flagging non-sexual images as explicit while allowing pornbots to continue to thrive. So even though I'm not a content creator myself, I felt that it was time to find another platform to partake in. Dreamwidth doesn't possess the same functional as tumblr - it requires users to participate in conversation via communities, rather than passively reblogging others' content onto your own blog like on tumblr. So that'll be a trial for me, both in communicating with others more directly AND producing my own content.
So here's my introduction: I go by the name Jericho and I'm 26 years old. I live in the USA and have been part of online fandom culture since I was about 9-10 years old. My general interests: all things bookish, faery-related content, video games, knitting, and dancing to name a few.
My current TV/Movie fandoms consist of Star Trek, Shadowhunters, Black Lighting, Killjoys, The Expanse, The Good Place, Elementary, Leverage, American Horror Story (specifically Coven and Apocalypse), The Vampire Diaries (up to season six), Black Panther, Netflix's Castlevania, and Venom (2018). Other fandoms include: Critical Role, everything McElroy (MBMBAM, Monster Factory, etc), Wolf 359, and The Bright Sessions.
My favorite book genres are fantasy, contemporary, science fiction, nonfiction, and romance. Some of my favorite books are: Six of Crows (anything written by Leigh Bardugo honestly), The Traitor Baru Cormorant by Seth Dickinson, Uprooted by Naomi Novik, A Hope Divided by Alyssa Cole, The Epic Crush of Genie Lo by F.C. Yee, Descender by Jeff Lemire, American Hippo by Sarah Gailey, when they call you a terrorist by patrisse khan-cullers, and The Cruel Prince by Holly Black to name a few.
None of these lists are exhaustive but I think they give you a pretty good idea of what I'm into.
