i opened up a credit card account for my sister to get a new laptop. she's been using my old laptop since 2014 and it's broken down on her on several different occasions. the fan don't work and she has to hold down like three separate keys just to turn it on.

i know the general consensus is to not loan money to your family members but i think she'll make payments on time. whenever she asks to borrow money from me, she always pays me back as soon as she gets her paycheck. and i want her to have a laptop for her to stream with. she's always on twitch playing games with her and is genuinely trying to make a name for herself there as a streamer.

i also like the idea of buying her an expensive gift to flex on our brother since he acts like me getting presents as a child somehow made me spoiled. (i always got more gifts than him because i wanted cheap things like socks and stuffed animals while he wanted new gaming consoles and stereos and expensive clothes.) also we're full ass grown adults, who just brings up old petty shit like that?

it's so funny too because when i first mentioned that i was going to buy my sister a laptop, like 2 weeks later my brother convinced his ex to get him a laptop. but then she took it back the other day after she caught him lying about something. so now he has no laptop and my sister will have hers lol.

i can't wait for my sister to rub it in his face too. she also hates how jealous he gets over people having things he wants.
